Steps to reproduce


Repro Steps:

Access in IE
Allow for geolocation
Map will put you somewhere about 100kms away from your current position.

Expected Results:

It should give me an exact location, or at least a nearby location, within a specific number of meters)

    • Microsoft has a much bigger issue here. They are clearly exposed to geolocation hijacking due to their reliance on html5. When I am in Mozilla’s Firefox browser, their reliance on IP address properly finds me within a few meters of my current location. MS Edge and IE11 throw me hundreds of kmss off. This location is either their default (47.6448 longitude -122.2985 ) or it is defined by a website I visit. Yet another vulnerability uncovered.
