Steps to reproduce

Dear Microsoft, PLEASE, talk or say something to AMD to fix they terrible and stupid drivers, because an apocalypse will happen.

Look, with Windows 10 Aniversary Update, the usability is terrible only because of the AMD vídeo driver, i have a Radeon HD6850, which is not supported anymore (yeah i know), but millions of other people have the same videocard, maybe the HD5000 or HD7000, they are not that old to throw in the trash can, etc. And all of these old gen cards are not working well with Windows 10 AU.

Look that :

Its so much bugs, low performance, crashes, with these discontinued vídeo driver, even the latest for these old gen cards, its illusion if you wait for something who will change that from AMD side. And this happens in all Windows, on MS Edge, even the File Explorer is running problematic now, if i start a game like Dota 2, if i close the game, the computer performance is dead, i need to restart him, or no deal. And worked well on the old Windows 10.

So the users have hopes in you, Microsoft.

    • ATI/AMD HD 3xxx & 4xxx AGP graphic cards are also not working (Code 43) since your OneCore optimizations (Build 11082+).

    • My hd 6850 crashes every time on boot, and sometimes works for a while then crashes again

    • A good conversation about the AGP (Code 43) problem:

“The issue with this update is that the CPU to AGP controller reverts to a PCI-to-PCI Bridge upon upgrading from build 10586 to 14393. This means that NVIDIA cards work but are restricted to PCI bus speed which slows them down to near unusable performance, and AMD cards present you with a Code 43 error and don’t work at all.”

Changed Status from “Site Outreach” to “By design”

    • May I ask what you mean by “By design” again?

    • “By Design” means that Microsoft intentionally block or break something to force users to buy a new compatible hardware.
