Steps to reproduce

We have a strange behaviour in (at least) IE11. We create an iFrame and detach it afterwards but memory keeps increasing over time. In this iFrame only an empty page with javaScript imports is loaded.

We found some suggestions to change src of iFrame to about:blank but it still isn’t working. Has anyone an idea what is going wrong?

We tried vanilla JS and the jQuery purgeFrame plugin.
