Steps to reproduce

When you switch on/off a local proxy, existing tabs in Edge don’t notice the change, and still do things with previous proxy settings.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to a web page.
  2. Set a system proxy.
  3. Refresh the page. (Page will load without going through proxy)

  1. Set a system proxy.
  2. Go to a web page.
  3. Disable proxy.
  4. Refresh page. (Page still loads through proxy)

That could be environment specific issue which I would suggest you to test this issue on a different machine or a virtual machine and see if it is still repro. Please keep us posted about your progress resolving this issue. We will be happy to assist you.

  • Yes, I tried this in a fresh installed virtual machine running Windows 10 build 14393, and the issue weren’t there.
But I already tried upgrading my system to itself, and also reinstalling Edge (with PowerShell) with no success. Maybe there’s some software interfering with this.
I guess I have to reinstall Windows from scratch, and be careful to see exactly what causes this issue to start. (Or maybe it won’t happen again after that, who knows (: )

  • Thank you for the update. Please keep us posted about your resolution so we can resolve this post accordingly.
