Steps to reproduce

During a live codepen.io demo, it’s difficult/impossible to type in Microsoft Edge. As an example, whilst watching a live-coding session by @anatudor today, I was unable to Tweet from TweetDeck. Additionally, I could not easily Chat on codepen.io.

When the Professor (Ana) would type, the cursor would be stolen from TweetDeck, and placed in codepen.io. Likewise, when I would attempt to chat on codepen.io, the Professor’s keypress events would shift my cursor’s focus.

    • Maybe this is better now? Or fixed on either our end or yours?

Here’s a test where things seemed OK: https://app.crossbrowsertesting.com/livetests/5749809/videos/zc1ce8f4e2282be6f1f0

      It wasn’t totally comprehensive though.

    • Thank you for the update. We are having difficulties reproducing this issue on MS Edge. Could you please confirm whether the issue is repro on public build or not? On the other hand, as you would expect the insider preview versions are not fully stable which may introduce new temporary bugs. If you are experiencing this issue on the latest public build 14393.82 or the latest insider preview that you can repro, please keep us posted the version, we will be happy to assist you.

      All the best,
      The MS Edge Team
