Steps to reproduce

Reproduction:

  1. Browse to a stream. I like to watch Super Mario Maker by Vellhart. The stream you watch does not actually matter, just pull one up.
  2. Open the developer tools, go to console.
  3. Attempt to resize the window.

Observation:

SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'otherWidth'
emberapp-3fb8098ca61364deeb9f6c7a5756eb9d.js (52,29477)

While the property otherWidth probably isn’t a standard property on a DOM object, clearly Twitch’s JavaScript blows up during window resizing regardless.

Bonus Observation:

Having the FrankerFacez extension, taken from Chrome, you are able to modify Twitch’s appearance to put the chat frame below the video frame upon the window hitting a size threshold. Well the feature stops working due to this bug. I have attached the extremely simple extension (basically bootstraps injecting JavaScript from a CDN).

Regression:

This problem did not occur until I installed the Windows 10 Insider Release Preview for Cumulative Update to 14393.82. Previous CUs did not have this problem.

  • Might have been a coincidence of Twitch introducing a JavaScript bug in their code and me updating Windows. Sorry, it works fine now!
