Steps to reproduce
- Navigate to http://readytogo.microsoft.com
- Attempt to login
Some users are reporting that IE is not automatically opened. Some report that the site renders in Microsoft Edge. Others report similar, but unpleasant feedback.
The site also doesn’t appear to be listed for some users inside about:compat.

The website loads in Edge (it doesn’t launch or prompt to launch Internet Explorer) and it doesn’t appear in about:compat.
The “Enterprise Mode Site List” in about:compat is completely empty.
39.14905.1000 with canary engine enabled
Page fails to load the login page for the website.
Does not redirect from Edge to IE 11 and the site does not show up in the about:compat list.

Website doesn’t appear to be listed in about:compat (39.14905.1000).
Same issue on others computers (RS1 final release).

I think the fact that it opens for Jonathan (in the YouTube broadcast) is simply due to Jonathan being on a Microsoft network, which has a group policy-defined Enterprise Mode site list rolled out.
For normal Windows installs, the Enterprise Mode site list is empty. Edge is by default not configured to open anything automatically in IE11, as far as I know.
Asbjørn, yes Jonathan has more items because it’s on Corporate network that have their own compatibility list. But this compatibility feature work for all Windows 10 users with a public compatibility list (1703 public items for all at the moment - the list isn’t empty for lambda users). You can go to about:compat for view your current compatibility list.
I think Microsoft has found the problem with this website but only push it in their own internal compatibility list.
