Steps to reproduce

Repro steps:

  • Open this page: https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/milestone/4
    -  Press Ctrl+F to open the search box
  • Type a search keyword “column” (without quotes) in the search box
  • Notice the page freezes randomly and it takes awhile for Edge to navigate the searched keyword within the page
  • Now change the search keyword to “expression” (without quotes) in the search box
  • Notice the page freezes randomly and it takes awhile for Edge to navigate the searched keyword within the page
  • Observe how slow and unresponsive Edge while doing text searching

As a comparison, try these repro steps on latest stable Chrome. It should give you almost instant search results without UI freezes/hangs.
