    • We are not able to repro this in current public stable builds of Edge / Win 10 - Are you still able to repro this as it stands now?

    • Yes, I am still able to reproduce this issue. I checked the Microsoft Edge 38.14393.0.0 (Microsoft EdgeHTML 14.14393) and the issue is still reproducible. Here are more details: The issue happens when you

      1. Select a file to upload
      2. Rename the file OR open the file by either Excel or Word and keep it open
      3. Try to upload a file
Result: the file is uploaded as 0-byte.
Tested with third party Web Server (Blackboard Learn and also with Xythos Web File Server).

Tested also with MS OneDrive and Dropbox.com browser uploaders. However since both uploader applications are designed differently and upload a file right after you select it, the issue manifests differently:

      1. Open a file (e.g. test.docx or test.xlsx) by Word or Excel and keep it open
      2. Go to OneDrive web app through Office 365 (https://www.office.com) in Edge browser
      3. Click on Upload -> Files and select the file that is still opened to be uploaded
Result: Nothing happens, the file is not uploaded.

Note: For Dropbox, you should use their basic uploader.
