Steps to reproduce

HTML Reduction:,output

This is my HTML

<label class="form-label" for="multiSelect">Multi Select:</label>
<select id="multiSelect" multiple="multiple" name="multiSelect">
<option value="volvo">Volvo</option>
<option value="saab">Saab</option>
<option value="opel">Opel</option>
<option value="audi">Audi</option>

This is my Java code

new Select(formElement).selectByVisibleText("Volvo");

This is the error I receive.
org.openqa.selenium.WebDriverException: Element is obscured (WARNING: The server did not provide any stacktrace information)

This happens when I try to select with the selectByValue and selectByIndex methods.
I am able to select options with the same code for non-multiple selects.

Edge Version: 14.14393
Windows Version: Windows 10 Anniversary Update (1607)
WebDriver Version: 3.14393

    • I just tried this on the latest build of Edge/WebDriver (16189 for both, Insiders should get it soon) and this didn’t repro using the Selenium C# 3.4 libraries (Selenium.WebDriver and Selenium.Support). Please re-activate if you hit this issue on our latest builds.

    • My test code used SelectByText(“Volvo”), just to add more clarity.
