Errors will begin to appear in the Event Log.

  1. Event ID 5973

  2. Event ID 5973

This is on a clean install that I just did this afternoon when I found that you set a couple of my other reports to unreproducible. I figured it had to be something with the way my computer was upgraded during the anniversary edition. It wasn’t. A clean install from MSDN exhibits this behavior.

    • Thank you for your feedback. I’m following up on issue 3) you reported in the repro steps. Unfortunately, the information provided is not sufficient for us to root cause the problem. I’m wondering if you can do one of two things to help us further narrow down the problem: a) Get a crash dump of the issue and attach it to the bug report b) If you are not sure how to grab a crash dump, I may be able to retrieve that information from our telemetry. For me to do that, I’ll need the device ID on which you experienced the problem. To retrieve that, please, run the following command in Powershell and send us the output (it should be a single GUID):
      Get-ItemProperty -Path Registry::"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\SQMCLIENT"| Select-Object -ExpandProperty MachineID.

    • Good afternoon Kamen. I am also experiencing this issue, only with WindowsMaps. Build 14393.

    • Just to add, this event is occurring like clockwork.

      Event 5973, Apps:
      19:52:47
      19:47:36
      20:02:37
      20:07:46
      20:12:47

      Seems to be every 5 minutes or so.
