Steps to reproduce

My Current Settings:

Windows 10 version 1607
Microsoft Edge 38.14393
Microsoft EdgeHTML 14.14393
‘Home Location’ set to Australia.
Date, Time and Number formats set to English (Australia).
AM/PM Time format set in Windows (short and long formats).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Ensure AM/PM Time format is set in windows settings.
  2. Visit, and ensure input type is set to time.
  3. Click the input.

Currently there is no way to specify AM/PM within the widget (as Chrome and others do). The hour selection also only ranges from 00 -> 11, so selecting dates in the afternoon is currently impossible.

The issue is resolved once the user has set the “Long Time” to 24 Hour format within windows, as the hour selection ranges from 00 -> 23.

    • Any news on this issue? Currently I am having to implement a polyfill just for the edge browser so users can properly select a time.

    • I am seeing this issue in version
      Microsoft Edge 38.14393.1066.0
      Microsoft EdgeHTML 14.14393
      London BST
Input shows PM, picker only shows AM and selecting it makes no difference

    • here’s a vid showing a plunker, as I’m guessing the plunker would work in your timezone

    • 2 years down the line and it seems Microsoft have simply decided to not support the date / time input type - clicking on them just refreshes the whole page… Oh well - another reason not to use Edge
