Steps to reproduce

On Microsoft Edge, make a request to a http server (vert.x for me) and close the browser, you will get “An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host” exception on the server side. There is no similar issue with other browsers.

If you make two requests from seperate tabs and close just one tab everything works fine.
If you make two requests from seperate tabs and close Windows Edge you get two exceptions.

Can be related with non-closed connections on process exit.

    • Are you able to provide a repro URL or maybe even just a URL to your vert.x HTTP server so that I can make repro or reduced case on my end? Is it as simple as opening the console in two tabs and firing a POST request from each while observing fiddler / wire shark network details?

      Changed Status to “Not reproducible”

    • We are going to resolve this as not repro for the meantime. If you can provide us with more details on the repro we would be happy to take another look.

      All the best,
