    • Our developers have investigated and in Edge if you use the
      F12 developer tools to change the UA string to Chrome and try to play the
      video, this error is seen in F12, not the KEY_SYSTEM_ERROR.

      VIDEOJS: ERROR: (CODE:2
      MEDIA_ERR_NETWORK) A network error caused the video download to fail part-way.
      [object Object]

      video.js (23,203)

      “VIDEOJS:”

      “ERROR:”

         "(CODE:2
      MEDIA_ERR_NETWORK)"

         “A network
      error caused the video download to fail part-way.”

         {

      [functions]: ,

      proto: { },

      code: 2,

      MEDIA_ERR_ABORTED: 1,

      MEDIA_ERR_CUSTOM: 0,

      MEDIA_ERR_DECODE: 3,

      MEDIA_ERR_ENCRYPTED: 5,

      MEDIA_ERR_NETWORK: 2,

      MEDIA_ERR_SRC_NOT_SUPPORTED: 4,

      message: "A network error caused the video download to fail part-way.",

      status: undefined,

         statusText: undefined,

      subtype: "KEY_SYSTEM_ERROR",

      url: undefined

         }

      This is occurring because the site is trying to use
      “com.widevine.alpha” with navigator.requestMediaKeySystemAccess.

      Stepping through the script, the media’s pssh box only lists
      Widevine. The supporting code (a library from a third party-- cldasheverywhere)
      does appear to handle PlayReady if the content allowed for it.

    • This is a site issue that has been reported to toggle.sg and they are currently working on updates that should improve streaming for protected content.
