Steps to reproduce

Other day, i acessed some Wikipédia page, i think it was about some music composer or something like that, and have some MIDI files, (Musical Keyboard sound file format). But Edge dont play on the fly the file, instead, download it, but even the terrible and medíocre Groove Music dont play .MID files, so its a Windows Media Player job, because he is the only thing on Windows who play these files.

And Edge dont play other opensource vídeo or áudio format on Wikipédia too. Also Edge dont play Valve Steam website vídeos too.

I think that Microsoft need to add support to all these file formats.

    • Thank you for taking your time to provide us your
feedback. This feedback falls under a feature or design change request. Please
login to our Feedback Hub app (Steps below) and feel free to file your
suggestion so others can review your suggestion and vote it up!

Use the Feedback Hub app to tell us which features you
love, which features you could do without, or when something could be better.

      1. Go to Start Windows Start icon, enter the phrase
Feedback Hub, then select Feedback Hub.
      1. See if someone else has given similar feedback by
entering the topic, such as Microsoft Calendar.
      1. If you find similar feedback, select it, add any
        details, then select Upvote.
      1. To narrow your search to a specific category, pick the
category that most closely matches your feedback (so it gets to the right
people quickly). For example, for feedback about the Calendar app, select Apps

      Calendar.

      1. If you don’t find any similar feedback, select Add new
feedback (In your case you select suggestion option), and choose a topic from
Select a category and then Select a subcategory.
      1. Enter your feedback (the more details the better!),
add a screenshot if you can, and you’re done.

      Best regards,

      The MS Edge Team
