Steps to reproduce

open the attached file OroTestHtmlPage1_HTML.html with internet explorer 11.
Select file, print preview.
The zoom feature appears to not be working.
The goal was to print all 69 rows on one page.
Also attached are images of the results in IE 11 vs Chrome.
It would have been helpful if IE 9, 10 or 11 could be installed at the same time on the same machine? Could you please also recommend the best way to completely uninstall IE 11 on widows server 2012R2, so that an earlier version of IE could be installed? I have not tested this on IE 9 or 10 yet, but will soon. Thanks.

Below is the code in the attached file

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" >
<head>
<title></title>

<style type="text/css">
    body {
         zoom: 0.8;
    }
</style>

</head>
<body >
<form id="form1" >
<div>
<script type="text/javascript">
for (i = 0; i < 70; i++) {
document.write(“<span>” + i + ") NewLine of Stuff ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- </span> <br />");
}

        </script>
    </div>

</form>

</body>
</html>

Comments and activity

  • The goal was to print all 69 rows on one page, and to completely fill up the page from top to bottom. There is some type of vertical space or page break being inserted in the print preview which is not wanted. I am assuming that this is a bug.

  • The vertical space at the bottom in the print preview also occurs with landscape.

  • Also attaching another html version with no JavaScript since that may be affecting the results some. File OroTestHtmlPage1_HTML_Ver2.html.
    The page setting and results are also attached.

  • The zoom appears to be working in the print preview for IE 9.
    Page settings and results attached.

  • Also interesting with IE 9 is that the user can set all the margins to 0.
    Unless I overlooked something, that didn’t seem possible in IE 11?

  • Also attached are the results for IE10.
    It appears that the zoom in the print preview stopped working in IE 10.
    Also interesting is that in IE 10 the user could still set all the margins to 0. This option appears to be gone in IE 11. For both the IE9 and IE 10 tests, the File OroTestHtmlPage1_HTML_Ver2.html was used ( i.e. no JavaScript).

    Changed Assigned To to “Ibrahim O.”

  • This forum’s upload feature appears to have added multiple copies of the IE 10 images.
    I only uploaded two IE 10 image files:
    1.) IE10_PageSetupSettingsAndResults.PNG
    2.) IE10_HTMLViewAndInfo.PNG
    Is it possible to remove the extra IE10 images added?
