Steps to reproduce

Add some text to input
Click a position in text area
Click add div

What I would expect to happen
Inputted text inserted at cursor location

What actually happens
Inputted text inserted at start of text area regardless of cursor location

Have tested on IE + Firefox and behaves as expected there

    • Just tired it on version 42.17134.1.0 and it is still not working. Once I click the selected text, both selectionStart and selectionEnd properties are zero by the time the click handler is called. If I click an unselected word, those properties are updated correctly. Same problem with textareas as well.
