Steps to reproduce

The crash happens when trying to display the autocomplete suggestion popup.

The original context for this crash is a WebDriver test that repeatedly fills out a form. On one of the iterations, we can see the autocomplete popup appear, and then the browser crashes.

It should reproduce with a simple page with a form and some input fields in which you always write the same text (so you trigger the autocomplete). The crash might reproduce if you write something fast, it triggers the autocomplete popup, and you switch to another field, done in a very fast sequence.

Dump + stack trace attached.

I’m not sure whether this is reproducible without WebDriver. Let me know if I should try to generate a better or more concrete reproduction case.

  • Whoops, should have mentioned this is on Windows 10 build 14393 and Edge 14393. Basically, just Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1607 without any further updates.
