Steps to reproduce

This is a bug with the Edge issue tracker itself. Sometimes the content in the “steps” field prevents the bug from being reportable - pressing “Open this issue” just takes me to a page that says "Something is happening, please try again later". However with a simple one line of text the issue can be reported then you can put the original steps in a comment.

Obviously I can’t put the text in this report, nor do I want to spam your issue tracker doing a bunch of submissions to track this down, so in the first comment I will paste the content I could not submit. Note this happens to be for a separate bug report; I already filed that bug separately.

    • The fullscreen API works fine in the Edge browser, but from a UWP app it simply appears to offset the window content area and remains windowed.

      I don’t know where to report bugs that only happen in UWP apps, but since I understand they are powered by the same Edge browser engine, I’m reporting it here.

      Here is a VS2015 project that demonstrates the problem: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15217362/Win10fullscreentest.zip
      (just click the “Go fullscreen” button)

      This problem affects Construct 2 games exported as Windows 10 apps. See: https://www.scirra.com/forum/fullscreen-doesn-t-work-when-exported-to-windows-store-uwp_t180236

      I previously reported this on the old Connect system several months ago but it appears to have been mistakenly closed or misunderstood. The problem still occurs on Windows 10 with the Anniversary update.

    • It is confirmed and the bug was created and assigned.

      If you can’t wait, you can do this in your JS code like similar to this.

      if (typeof Windows !== ‘undefined’) {
      var view = Windows.UI.ViewManagement.ApplicationView.getForCurrentView();
      if(view.IsFullScreenMode) {
      console.log(“Exiting WinRT Fullscreen”);
      else {
      console.log(“Entering WinRT Fullscreen”);
