Steps to reproduce

  1. Open the provided index.html from a web server.
  2. Should log true or false depending on which version of Edge is being used (mine supports modules)

Instead it seems to cause the tab to crash (or something, can’t tell) and report "This page is having a problem loading".

The point of this script is to detect if the browser supports script[type=module].

    Testing this out I get false in the console when testing with Edge 14393.187 - Which is the current public stable version.  No crash to be seen, though.

  • Hi Brad, just tested against 14.14936 which does support script[type=module] and I am seeing the crashing behavior as described. Sorry for getting the version number wrong in the original bug.
