Steps to reproduce
The following link works until the site requests a log in, then both of your browsers hang, yet the site comes up and functions well with Chrome.
Also, when searching to report an Microsoft IE issue your own database initially points to a page in Microsoft.com that has moved. Next that page points to a URL that actually redirects instead of listing the correct URL.
Resolution: Update your pages/URLs, update your links, update your databases and update your search engines! This makes you look like you are scrabbling to accomplish and support nothing!
Get rid of dead links! If you can’t do it, we can help!

I can’t reproduce the crashing that you’ve described in this bug report - May I ask the version of Edge that you are using? I tested both public stable (1439) and insider fast (beta / pre-release builds version: 14955.1000). Neither of them crashed when I loaded up that page and was presented with a login screen.
Aside from different versions, it could be hardware related - are you seeing this on a surface, a windows phone, PC, or tablet? Having a dxdiag output from your device would probably be the most helpful in relation to this question.
For now I will resolve the feedback as not repro until we get more details on how to repro this.
