IE10/IE11 fails to render some elements using the font Montserrat in a right-to-left layout

Steps to reproduce

Please open the attached file montserrat-test.html, which is valid HTML5, in IE10 or IE11.

Note that some, but not all, elements using the font Montserrat fail to render. Equivalent elements using another font, Lora, all render correctly. See rtl.png.

If you try changing the ‘dir’ attribute of the <html> tag from ‘rtl’ to 'ltr’, you’ll see that all elements now render correctly. See ltr.png.

  • Sorry, the file I uploaded already has dir=’ltr’. Change it to dir=’rtl’ to reproduce the bug.
