Repro Steps:

Consider this scenario:

  1. A website uses the <base> HTML tag.
  2. The favicon uses a relative path.
  3. The website uses history.pushState to get data via ajax and change the url.

A user opens a pushState hyperlink. The favicon disappears.

Expected Results:

To keep the favicon visible.

Actual Results:
