Listen, learn, share, and hold my hand! Interview with Gabriela Mayer
Date: March 10, 2021
Time: 03:00 PM - 03:45 PM (Pacific)
Topic: Personal and Business Development
What is this session about? In Brazil, we have a saying that “nobody let go of anyone's hand”, which represents an idea of women holding hands and supporting others in their everyday life and challenges. Every week, Gabriela hosts a podcast in Brazil called “Elas por Elas” (“Her for Her”), which as a cover has an illustration of two holdings hands, to hear stories of Brazilian women who are making a difference to a world with more equality. It’s all about collective experiences, but also about the individualities that helps people to connect, learn and share these during these conversations. In this session, we will learn more about Gabriela’s endeavors to share and empower others via her activities and career. We hope that Gabriela’s story and project inspire you to help others in your circles and maybe, start a podcast too.
Who is it aimed for? Anyone who likes to learn and hear real life stories that has an impact in the society. Whether you’re a developer or a journalist (like Gabriela), you can make a difference and help others by sharing your story and listen others.
Why should you attend? You will hear stories from someone from Brazil and learn more about another culture, background, and region. Also, this can be an opportunity to inspire non-technical people to embrace and join the technology side of the force, and vice-versa. We hope this session inspires you to share more, and maybe, start your next podcast.
