🔗 What is the session about? This event is part of a series of #12 workshops developed for female entrepreneurs under the scope of the partnership between Microsoft and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to foster female entrepreneurship and opportunities for forcibly displaced populations in the tech sector in Brazil. The purpose of the sessions, to be held from March to October 2021, is to share content for the improvement of the business model and the expansion of the startups' future fundraising opportunities. 🔗 Agenda Workshop #7: Data-driven decisions as a key to developing a successful company This workshop will discuss the process of finding the right data sets to answer questions on team fit; product market fit; MVP functionality; Ai/Bi/ML algorithms that are used to find the right team set, skills set, market, influencers auditory; data as unbiased tracker of a product success, team performance, market feedback; and finally the quality of data – inclusive data sets, unbiased data sets and importance of data preparation.

- Cristian Rocha Co-founder and CEO of Laura, he is an expert in artificial intelligence for high-impact projects. Cristian has helped Laura to become of the main healthtechs in Brazil, reducing general mortality in hospitals by 25% and reducing costs from healthcare centers through the use of Artificial Intelligence. He has received his M.Sc Degree in Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He also holds a B.Sc degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) and Monash University (Australia). His main motivation is to develop technologies to empower people and help to save lives.
- Lana Graf Before joining the World Bank Group, Lana worked as a corporate executive in the AI and robotics sector. She developed extensive experience in implementing advanced technologies and process automation solutions across several tech areas, including big data analytics, industrial IoT, AI in cybersecurity, cloud services for data management, and enterprise software platforms. Lana is Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumni and she services as an adviser and mentor to multiple successful companies and startups focused on AI applications and robotics.
📌 This workshop was developed in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and is part of the initiative developed jointly by IFC and Microsoft to foster female entrepreneurship and increase inclusion and employability of women and Forcibly Displaced Populations in the tech sector in Brazil.
