Climate Hackathon - The Winners!
26 mayo, 2021 | 3:00 p. m. - 4:00 p. m. (UTC) Hora universal coordinada
Tema del evento: Aplicaciones inteligentes (desarrollo web y servicios de IA)
Idioma: Inglés
What is this session about?
The Climate Hackathon took place in March 2021 with the goal to support non-governmental and non-profit organizations solve some of their challenges with the use of technology. Each year, the hack builds awareness and respect for the environment, and enables people to stand united for the climate, through our way of living. Environmental challenges are many, each with its own complexity. In some areas we have come a long way, in other areas the humanity has barely moved.
The Climate Hackathon is about sustainability. Nothing else can be more important. Developers of all background and skills were invited to participate and share their innovative contributions for a more sustainable world. What makes this Hackathon unique, is that all the challenges will be real-life scenarios provided by non-profit organizations that have a key role in solving some of the climate challenges but might not have enough resources or technical competencies.
In this session, the Climate Hackathon’s organizer, Sherry List, will share how the participating organizations benefitted from the dedicated time hacking on their issues. Sherry will announce the hackathon winners and how they will continue to work with the technological advances made during the hackathon.
Who is it aimed at?
The session with Sherry List is for people and organizations who are interested in making positive environmental impacts through technology. From students to advanced careerist, we can all make a difference toward improving our climate and this session will discuss organizations who are meeting the challenge.
Why should I attend?
