Svelte is a front-end JavaScript framework designed to feel like writing standard JavaScript, HTML and CSS. This allows you to quickly start creating components without the necessary boilerplate code other frameworks may require. This week John Papa joins us to walk us through the core concepts of the framework. He'll explain why we should consider using Svelte and highlight some of its best features.

Christopher is a longtime web dev who turned a coding hobby into a career. Currently a Senior Cloud Advocate at Microsoft, he never lost the joy he felt in writing code and having the computer do what he asked and sharing that passion with others. These days he can be found at a keyboard writing TypeScript and Python. When not at a keyboard he can be found running long distances or relaxing with his wife and their four-legged child (an adorable dog) in Seattle.
John Papa, Principal Cloud Advocate, Microsoft
John Papa is a dedicated father and husband, a professional Web Developer, and professional storyteller in the technology community. He currently is a Principal Cloud Advocate for Microsoft and has formerly worked for Disney on several web and mobile applications that you may have used.
His passions are coding and teaching modern web technologies and enjoying everything Disney with his family.
John is a co-host of the Web Rush podcast, author of the Angular Style Guide, and many popular Pluralsight online videos courses.
