Computer vision enables software systems to perceive the world visually through cameras, images, and video. With Azure Cognitive Services, it's easy to add computer vision capabilities to your apps. This week we'll use computer vision examples to illustrate foundational concepts of building AI-powered applications on Azure – whether you want to leverage APIs and SDKs or create an app without writing a single line of code. You'll also get a chance to practice using Custom Vision to build an object detection model with a step by step tutorial.

Speaker: Vivek Sridhar is a technophile and an Open-Source contributor with around 15+ years of experience in the Software Industry and works at Microsoft as a Senior Cloud Advocate, Cloud + AI engineering team. In his previous role, he has mentored startups/developers, speaker at conferences/meetups for DigitalOcean as Senior Developer Advocate, Co-Founder / Chief-Architect of NoodleNext Technology. He was also heading DevOps and QA at BlackBuck and was a DevOps Solution Architect at HCL (Australia) in client engagement. Vivek started his career with IBM Rational (India Software Labs) as a Software Developer.
