Building on last week’s set up, we'll cover some web development basics to get our own Python web server running from GitHub, host on Azure. Learn about the benefits cloud compute offers, and how to get it set up for your needs.
This session will explore how to build web apps in Python's most popular frameworks, Flask and Django, and then deploy those apps to Azure App Service.
Your Speaker
Pamela Fox is a Cloud Advocate in Python at Microsoft. Previously, she was a lecturer for UC Berkeley and the creator of the computer programming curriculum for Khan Academy.
Who is it aimed at?
It's best suited for attendees with previous experience with either Python or web app frameworks (Rails, NodeJS, etc.), who are interested in hosting web apps on Azure.
Why should you attend?
You can use the knowledge to deploy your own apps to the cloud and build additional skills for your resumé.
