Bringing the community together with Game Stack Live
We are at an extraordinary inflection point in human history. We are facing increasing uncertainty and new realities in how we interact and work. As I sat with my family this weekend and we played Ori and the Will of the Wisps, I was reminded of the unique power of gaming to bring people together. To entertain, inspire, and connect us even in the most challenging times.
In my role as the leader of Xbox Partnerships, my team and I have the privilege to interact with the thousands of creators who make gaming, and its power to connect, possible. We get to help developers like you deliver groundbreaking new single-player indie titles, large-scale multiplayer AAA games, and hyper-engaging mobile games that are enjoyed by hundreds of millions of people daily. Across all of you, one thing is common—a constant drive for innovation and a passion for the craft.
"We can't wait to see what you do with the unique power in your hands - the games, the moments, and the human connection that only you as game creators make possible." - Sarah Bond, Head of Xbox Partnerships
We share that passion – with over 40 years of experience building developer tools, this is our DNA. Today, there are many facets to Microsoft, but at the core, we are all about creating platforms, services and tools that empower others to succeed. Over the last decade, we've seen amazing, democratizing improvements in technology – game engines like Unity, Unreal, and GameMaker that have helped game creators like you focus more on the experience and less time building infrastructure. We know you love to push the tech to its very limit and you're always on the hunt to level up and unlock new experiences. This is why we created Microsoft Game Stack –a portfolio of development tools, online services, and platforms to help you better build, distribute, and operate your games.
Our goal is to offer the most versatile, friendly, and open ecosystem that spans all devices, networks, and platforms. We pride ourselves in giving you flexibility and choice, ensuring the tools that you use work seamlessly with Game Stack. Whether you're using Azure PlayFab to strengthen LiveOps in your mobile title, Visual Studio to launch your game on PlayStation, or you're reaching new gamers on more devices through Project xCloud, you can do all this and more with Microsoft Game Stack.
In these times, your power to bring joy and connection through the games you create is more important than ever. This is why we are hosting Game Stack Live to share our learnings and help you realize the full value of Microsoft Game Stack. Tuesday and Wednesday, March 17-18, we will be livestreaming on Mixer, with on-demand video available shortly after. We will have deep technical talks and panel discussions led by some of our resident game developers. We will also have behind-the-scenes conversations with the creators at Xbox Game Studios and the ID@Xbox program.
No matter where you are on your game development journey, we invite you to join us live or check out the recordings later. Tune in, ask questions, and let us be part of your story.
We can't wait to see what you do with the unique power in your hands - the games, the moments, and the human connection that only you as game creators make possible.
