The Reactor Community Spotlight is a snack-sized show, designed to meet, greet and explore communities and their leaders from Europe and the Middle East. Each week we’ll zone in on a different Reactor from, bringing together London, Stockholm, Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi. We’ll meet the speakers for upcoming event series and hear what drives leaders from around the world to build and grow technical communities and discover new opportunities to learn and connect.

In this session we will meet Alan Smith, Peter Örneholm & Chris Klug.

Peter, Alan and Chris have a lot in common – they all live in Stockholm, Software engineers, are Microsoft MVPs, they work for the same company but most importantly, they share a passion for technology, education and community.

Speaker Bio's:

Alan has more than 25 years’ experience in IT and has worked in developing a wide range of projects and technologies for many companies in several different countries and cultures. He has missed deadlines, slipped features, hit targets, patched bugs, pulled all-nighters and marched a death march or two. During this time, he has shared his ideas and experiences with others, taking an active role in organizing community events, conferences and global bootcamps, and is a regular speaker at local user groups and international conferences. He has achieved the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional status for over 15 years in several emerging technologies and has been recognized as one of the top 10 developers in Sweden.

Peter Örneholm is a IT-consultant and Microsoft AI MVP who loves to explore life. Using the power of Azure is his passion. Peter has over 10 years of experience in Microsoft related technologies and currently works as an IT consultant at Active Solution in Stockholm helping companies achieve more using modern web and cloud technologies.

Chris Klug is a developer badass-as-a-service that either creates or solves problems depending on who you ask. He loves creating and building things. Whether it be a new application, a new kitchen or a new RC helicopter, you will see him building things all the time. Most of the time, that means writing code and solving problems for clients at a company called Active Solution in Stockholm though. Except for the many days he spends at conferences and usergroups, talking about doing things he is passionate about, and for the days he goes mountain biking, IPSC shooting, kiteboarding or RC helicopter flying.
