Welcome to the Embrace ERG (Employee Resource Group) Skills Series. This event is the 2nd episode of the Embrace ERG Skills Series.

The EMBRACE ERG at Microsoft embraces all races and ethnicities and hopes through this series to spotlight the variety of careers available in the tech sector by giving examples from our own company. Our workforce is representative of the various communities and societies we work in; as such, diversity is at the core of our operations, and we hope to highlight that all backgrounds and skillsets are valued in our field. We intend to cover not only the careers available, but also provide the skills required and sessions on how to help build these skills.
What is this session about?
This session will cover both the importance of mentorship as well as best practices to help find and keep a growing relationship with your mentors.
Who is it aimed at?
Those at any stage of their career in any sector who have an interest in learning about mentoring from those who have mentored and been mentored in the tech sector.
Why should you attend?
To learn how being mentored can help broaden your knowledge, network, and help you be your best self by pulling on the wisdom and experience of others. Also, to learn about what benefits there are for a mentor, and how it can come full circle.
Speaker Bio’s
Pamella Barotti, Head of Customer Advocacy, Microsoft
Pamela is a strategic global marketing, communications and advocacy lead with 15+ years’ experience in Technology and Financial Services. She is a board member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Greater London Chapter), the world's leading professional marketing body, and is a guest lecturer at Birkbeck University of London. Has a strong background in developing and implementing successful marketing and communications strategies and multi-channel programs across local and global markets, which increased brand awareness, improved customer and partner experience and supported multi-million-dollar revenue goals.
She a unique combination of corporate experience across developed and emerging markets, strong academic background, coaching qualifications and a passion for empowering people and organizations to grow and thrive. She designed and launched Learning Development Programs in partnership with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and Museum of Brands in London on a pro
bono basis, reaching over 2K marketers and brand professionals in the last few years.

Fardos Mohsin, Account Delivery Executive, Microsoft
Born and raised in Pakistan and then the United Kingdom, I have been fortunate to hold a number of roles in my career where I lived and worked in South Africa, travelled extensively to many European countries, India and to the USA, whilst working for IBM UK and Capgemini UK. I have been fortunate with my mentors who have given me down to earth advice through my career and I would like to share this experience and knowledge with the next generation of Talent.

After graduating with a degree in Business Information Technology (BIT) from the University of Kent and spending 2 years in investment banking (Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs), Kwasi Amoako joined Microsoft as a graduate Customer Engineer within Modern Work assisting business customers with everything Teams and Office 365 related.
