Microsoft Reactor

The Reactor Community Spotlight is a snack-sized show, designed to meet, greet and explore communities and their leaders from Europe and the Middle East. Each week we’ll zone in on a different Reactor from, bringing together London, Stockholm, Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi. We’ll meet the speakers for upcoming event series and hear what drives leaders from around the world to build and grow technical communities and discover new opportunities to learn and connect.

What is this session about?

In this session we will host Vered Flis, a community founder of "Women in Clouds Israel", and the first female Microsoft MVP in Israel. We will talk about her motivation to create a women community, and why in her opinion gender diversity is important especially in the cloud computing industry.

Speaker Bio

Vered is an experienced software engineer. Accompanied products with a strong sense of ownership through the full R&D life-cycle: from early concept to production and maintenance. Last year she was chosen to be the first Microsoft female MVP in Israel.

Her specialties are software development , Frontend development, Backend development, Angular, Nodejs, Nestjs , Docker , microservices, k8s, cloud native development, project management, tech lead, team lead

Vered founded the "Women In Clouds Israel" community which aims to inspire women to join the Cloud computing industry and close the gap in job demands. By interviewing leading women in the industry, hosting meetups on cloud-related topics and sharing relevant and important industry content. she hope to build a diverse and supportive community.
