What is the session about?
The AR & VR Artists London group is founded with the idea that artists already know what they want, and so each session is tailored to the changing demands of being an XR Artist! March's session will recap our ongoing collaboration challenge as well as offer a workshop, and invite our in-person attendees to experience some new VR works via Meta Quest 2.

Who is it aimed at?
The group is aimed at anyone with an interest in XR art. There is no requirement on skill level, and anyone is welcome whether they are experienced artists or just curious about where to get started.

Why should you attend?
The AR & VR Artists London group offers a unique insight into the world of XR art! Learn new tips from the pros, meet other artists or simply check out some of the latest XR art creations!

Pre-requisites
If you wish to partake in the workshops, a laptop with Unity (2019.4.x or Unity 2019.3.x; the recommended version is Unity 2019.4.29f1) and the STYLY plugin installed. Or, perhaps just a notepad to jot down some tips?

Speaker Bio
Barney Kass

Barney Kass is an artist and designer based in London. His work often involves designing systems as a compositional tool to interweave narrative, interaction and information into installations, sound design and music. With a background in music and multichannel audio, he is passionate about how sound can be used to form experience from sonic weaponry to neuroscience.

Barney has lectured at the Royal College of Art and run workshops across University Arts London. He was a sound designer for BAFTA-nominated short film MY DAD'S NAME WAS HUW. HE WAS AN ALCOHOLIC POET whilst also displaying his work in South Kiosk Gallery, The Royal Academy of Art and the Design Museum.
Isabela Bruna Rojas

Isabela Bruna Rojas is in the process of completing my MSc in Virtual and Augmented Reality. She has an interest in psychology and how we can combine that with XR to enhance our everyday lives alongside creating compelling experiences. Isabela has over two years of unity experience alongside teaching experience. Completing her MSc has given her an in-depth insight into the many applications of XR technologies and how they work.
