With the Azure SQL trigger for Azure Functions, customers with nearly any SQL database can enable change tracking and develop event-driven applications on Azure Functions. Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server are all compatible with the Azure SQL trigger for Azure Functions, which is now available in public preview in Elastic Premium Plan for C# Azure Functions.

What will you learn from this session:

In this session, you will learn how to build application logic in azure function apps, which can be driven by the data from the Azure SQL database and monitor your Azure function apps scale as the SQL table record changes increase. Azure SQL trigger for Azure Functions will allow customers with nearly any SQL database enabled with change tracking to develop and scale event-driven applications using Azure Functions.

Speakers Bio: Drew Skwiers Koballa

Drew is a Senior Program Manager for SQL tools and experiences at Microsoft and an open-source advocate. He spent nearly a decade as a developer and database administrator before joining Microsoft.

Vivek is a technophile and an Open-Source contributor with around 17 years of experience in the Software Industry and works at Microsoft as Senior Cloud Advocate. In his previous role, he has mentored startups/developers, speaker at conferences/meetups for DigitalOcean as Senior Developer Advocate, Co-Founder / Chief-Architect of NoodleNext Technology. He was also heading DevOps and QA at BlackBuck and was a DevOps Solution Architect at HCL (Australia) in client engagement. Vivek started his career with IBM Rational (India Software Labs) as a Software Developer.
