How Large Language Models are disrupting Intelligent Document Processing

Like many applications that were previously powered by Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning, LLMs are disrupting Intelligent Document Processing as well. However, there are multiple challenges in using Large Language Models for Intelligent Document Processing related to accuracy and cost. This talk will discuss challenges and solutions when using Large Language Models at scale for production use cases in Intelligent Document Processing. This talk discusses practical challenges faced and solutions arrived at when building and deploying the open source Unstract project that currently processes 7M pages/month using LLMs. We will specifically focus on powerful LLMs available in the Azure OpenAI ecosystem.

Attendees will learn about the challenges and solutions when deploying Large Language Models at scale for production use cases. They will also learn about how Large Language Models are disrupting various industries and how they're enabling use cases that were never possible before.

Speaker Bio: Shuveb Hussain is the co-founder and CEO at Unstract, an open source startup building an LLM-powered platform that extracts data from unstructured documents, helping automate critical business processes. Before co-founding Unstract, he was VP of Platforms Engineering at Freshworks (NASDAQ: FRSH). He’s also an electronics hobbyist. He no longer voluntarily corrects spelling and grammar mistakes committed by others.
