Database modernization has never had a magic button. Migrations can take weeks or months of converting code, resolving incompatibilities, and validating that applications still work as expected. AI is changing that. In this session, we’ll use Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Foundry, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate an end-to-end migration to PostgreSQL on Azure HorizonDB.

We’ll assess the existing application, convert schemas and SQL code, fix migration gaps, and progressively validate data, application logic, business behavior, and workloads.

Through a practical, end-to-end migration, we’ll show how AI can accelerate database modernization and help teams migrate faster and with greater confidence.
