Stale Guests: The Case for Access Reviews and Entitlement Management

Excessive access rights can lead to audit findings and compromises as they indicate a lack of control over access. This is no more evident than with Teams, where many organisations allow their users to invite guests but rarely have an effective strategy for governance and managing their removal. As each guest user could be a point of attack, this session will explore using access reviews and entitlement management to help manage guest removal, keep Azure AD clean and ensure that the only guests who have access to your environment are current and are as needed.

  • Who is this event aimed at?
Teams and Identity Administrators, as well as those who want to know more about Microsoft Teams

  • Why should you attend?
A greater understanding of guest management in Microsoft Teams and the options within Microsoft 365 is important for determining who should have access to what resources in Teams, and when.

Event Pre-requisites:

  • General understanding of networking and cloud computing concepts.
  • General IT knowledge or any general experience working in an IT environment.
  • General understanding of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
