Live from Cloud City Seattle, this.Just.in. This new Microsoft Reactor series is for developers, entrepreneurs and passionate technologists that want to build tech that’s game-changing, useful or just plain interesting

Episode 4:
The idea of Sustainable Software Engineering as a developer’s contribution to the Green Tech movement has been around for some time..yet it is just now gaining momentum. As we face a growing climate crisis and humanity spends even more time interacting through our screens, the importance of building efficient software with respect to carbon intensity and energy utilization is just beginning. It’s a win-win-win – cleaner code for developers, lower compute costs for orgs, better for the planet. Do a LinkedIN jobs search and you’ll find thousands of roles describing this emerging discipline! But it can be difficult to know where to begin and what to prioritize. Are you developer looking to build more sustainably? Or a business leader looking to better understand how to plan with sustainability in-mind? Or a learning professional that wants to explore one of the best emerging new careers? Come join Microsoft Cloud Advocates Justin Garrett and Asim Hussain as we share what we’ve learned, what’s new and invite you into a conversation about the future of sustainable software engineering.
