Justin Garrett is host of this Just IN and a Principal Cloud Advocate in Cloud + AI Engineering at Microsoft. Justin works closely with learner communities to help address the skills gap in cloud development and manages a team of Cloud Advocates from around the world that do likewise. You’ll find him leading workshops at Microsoft Reactors, mentoring Student Ambassadors, and helping engineers improve Azure, GitHub and Visual Studio. Justin’s career at Microsoft also spans 16 years across Analytics, Windows, Bing search, Edge browser, Web Platform and Cloud Computing. Francesca Lazzeri, Ph.D. is a data and machine learning scientist with over 15 years of academic research, tech industry and engineering team building/management experiences. She is author of the book “Machine Learning for Time Series Forecasting with Python” (Wiley) and many other publications, including technology journals and conferences.
Francesca is Adjunct Professor of machine learning at Columbia University and Principal Data Scientist Manager at Microsoft, where she leads a team of data scientists focusing on data science and machine learning applications for Microsoft customer retention, fraud/payments, finance and experimentation use cases. Before joining Microsoft, she was a research fellow at Harvard University in the Technology and Operations Management Unit. She is also on the Advisory Board Member of the European Union, the Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
