This session is a part of How to use Azure to kickstart your DevOps lifecycle series.

This series provides an introduction to the cloud services commonly used by developers and teams. It is perfect for those early career or who want to learn more about DevOps and cloud processes.

What is this session about?
In the first episode of this series, we will begin with an overview of DevOps, some of the main aspects and why it is such a big topic. We will then jump into the start of a developer journey by coding a small web application, containerising it using Docker and deploying it to Azure App Services.

Liam Hampton - Cloud Advocate, Microsoft UK

Liam is a Cloud Advocate for Microsoft, UK. He uses his wealth of knowledge to create fun and engaging developer content, blogs, workshops, events and speaking engagements. Liam has previous professional experience as a Software Developer working on and contributing to open source projects, mentoring global teams and leading local developer initiatives. He also holds a number of professional cloud certifications and was previously part of a team that reached the global finals of IBM Call for Code with an AI project. Liam now focuses his work around DevOps, IoT, serverless compute and containerisation.
