With Go being one of the most popular languages for cloud native development and becoming one of the most sought after languages in the industry, Liam will take you on a journey so you can take your first steps with the language. In this series, he will start with the very basics of creating your first “Hello world” program and work through to the more complex features using pointers, channels and go routines creating fun and reusable snippets of code along the way. This series is aimed at Coding beginners, professionals and anyone who wants to learn some Go!

What is the session about?
A common practice seen in development is the need to work with system files. Go is notoriously good with memory management and has a few great features to help developers with this. In this session Liam will dive into working with files and showing how the keyword "defer" works in Go. He will also show you how to implement go routines, channels and memory pointers.

Who is it aimed at?
Coding beginners, professionals and anyone who wants to learn some Go!
