The world of generative media is exploding. Pretty soon, we're going to be watching television shows, going to movies, and listening to music entirely generated by machines. Come learn about how Mismatch Media created Nothing, Forever, the world's first always-on, interactive television show generated through a combination of cloud services, machine learning techniques, and more. We'll do a technical deep dive into the architecture behind Nothing, Forever, the emerging state of generative media, and why Mismatch Media chose Azure as their cloud of choice.

5:30PM - 6:00PM PST - meet & greet/networking
6:00PM - 7:00PM PST - session and Q&A
7:00PM - 8:00PM PST - open floor for networking

Speaker:
Skyler Hartle
Skyler Hartle is the co-founder of Mismatch Media, a new media lab created for the era of generative content. Skyler has been working in the generative media space for the past four years, alongside his co-founder Brian Habersberger, to create new forms of media that are powered by generative technologies. Mismatch Media, however, is not Skyler's day job -- Skyler is also a lead product manager for Azure PaaS and Serverless services, which include Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Static Web Apps, and Azure Container Apps. Skyler's unique background -- studying creative writing at university, but with a career in cloud technology -- has given him a unique perspective on where creative industries are headed in the face of new and disruptive technologies, such as generative models like Davinci, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, and beyond.
