Linux’s impact on how technology works in modern day is pivotal. Given its impact, everyone in this space should have a basic understanding of how it works and that’s the goal of this session. At a high-level, we’re going to learn about how Linux works. We won’t get too technical or into the weeds though. You don’t need to know how an engine works to drive a car, but you do need to know how to pump gas. Same goes for your Linux knowledge, you don’t need to know how to make your own kernel but understanding what one is can come in handy. We’ll look at what the Linux Kernel is, what User Space is, how File Systems work, and more. This will be a beginner friendly introduction to how Linux work and will serve any professional or enthusiast in tech.
