Join us for an engaging evening at the forefront of AI technology and development, designed to empower professionals with the knowledge and tools to innovate in the AI space.

Agenda:

17:30 - 18:00: Gathering and Networking
Join us for a welcoming gathering at the Microsoft Reactor. An opportunity to network with peers and experts in the AI field.

18:00 - 18:15: Opening Video from Global AI Day Organizers
Kick off the event with an inspiring video from the Global AI Day organizers, setting the stage for an evening of insightful AI discussions.

18:15 - 19:15: AI Integration in Development: From LLM Basics to Hybrid System Design by Alon Fliess
Led by Alon Fliess, Azure MVP and Microsoft Regional Director, this lecture navigates from the fundamentals of Large Language Models (LLMs)—tokenization, embedding, to model architectures—to practical AI integration in software development. Highlighting Azure OpenAI services, it underscores the benefits of leveraging abstraction layers like the Semantic Kernel project, simplifying the incorporation of AI into various programming environments. The session focuses on architectural and design principles for creating hybrid systems that meld traditional programming with AI functionalities. Through a case study on a goal-oriented agent system for Windows troubleshooting, attendees will see how Semantic Kernel enables developers to seamlessly integrate AI, enhancing problem-solving capabilities without delving into AI complexities. This lecture aims to equip developers with the knowledge to implement AI-driven solutions effectively, bridging imperative code with AI functionality for innovative applications.

19:15 - 19:30 Break

19:30 - 20:30: From Theory to Practice: RAG and LLM Integration on Azure by Aviel Blumenfeld & Yitzi Pfeffer
From Theory to Practice: RAG and LLM Integration on Azure" bridges the gap between the theoretical concepts of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) design pattern and their real-world applications on Azure. This presentation dives into the essentials of RAG and LLMs, showcasing their integration through a concise live coding demo. Attendees will learn how to deploy RAG-enhanced LLMs, leveraging Azure's AI services for scalable AI solutions. Ideal for AI professionals seeking to apply cutting-edge AI directly, this session offers practical insights for innovating with Azure's robust cloud platform.
