Building applications and microservices is never easy. We need a workflow engine that allows engineering and product teams to build and scale distributed applications with high levels of observability, security, and durability. Vivian Zheng will be demoing the workflow orchestrator Conductor, a platform originally created at Netflix to orchestrate workflows that span across microservices. How to leverage the tool in the context of healthcare that drastically improves developer experience.

Speaker Bio:
Vivian Zheng is a Software Engineer at a healthcare startup Truveta, where she develops a healthcare platform for fast and compliant patient data. She has expertise in workflow orchestration, cloud infrastructure, and event-driven architectures. Previously, Vivian worked at Qualtrics, she developed a text analytics engine for customer experience management, and developed predictive models. Vivian is passionate about creating scalable, secure, and highly observable distributed applications.
