Session #1 Title: Establishing Trust and Limiting Risk: Lessons Learned from Building and Scaling an XDR Product
Abstract:
Building and deploying a security product to millions of users around the world is a monumental task. Maintaining that product and iterating it over time while rapidly resolving detection coverage gaps and mitigating performance issues and false positives can be even more complicated and difficult to manage. Not only does it require a significant amount of resources to establish and maintain a resilient testing & deployment framework, all relevant teams, from software developers to operations to researchers & detection engineers, need to have a common understanding of the development process and artifact lifecycle to ensure common understanding.
This talk covers a brief snapshot of our experience navigating through this journey with Elastic’s Security Intelligence team. We will cover the most important lessons learned along the way as well as highlight areas for improvement that could benefit all organizations building products in the security industry. These lessons will be an intersection of the technical capabilities needed to build & scale an endpoint product, but more importantly how to come together as a team across diverse backgrounds and skill sets to effectively keep users protected.

Session #2 Title: Developing a GenAI Assistant for Financial Services using Confluent Cloud, Elasticsearch Vector Database, and Amazon Bedrock

In this session, you will learn about:

  • Developing Kafka-driven RAG pipelines using Apache Flink® offering and the Elasticsearch Sink Connector
