What is this event about?
Microsoft has made a commitment to be carbon negative by 2030 – that means removing more carbon from the environment than we emit. By 2050 our aim is to have removed all of the carbon emitted since the company was founded in 1975. These are big ambitions and require a huge shift in both the way we operate, but also the way in which we think. Green Tech and Green Software Development play a key role in achieving these goals – not just for Microsoft, but for the communities and ecosystems we are part of.

In this first event in the series, we’ll hear from Asim Hussain, Microsoft’s Green Advocacy Lead, on why Green Tech is so important and what Microsoft is currently doing to address the crisis.

Who is it aimed at?
Anyone with an interest in learning more about Green Tech, Green Software Development and the practical things you can do as developer.

Why should you attend?
Learn more about this important and rapidly growing sector, and discover how you can get involved.
