Register Now: Xbox Game Studios Game Camp is coming to Sweden
Passionate creators in Sweden can now embark on a 10-week virtual journey to hone their game dev skills.
Have you always wanted to work with video games? Do you dream of creating your own indie gem?
If so, you’ll be happy to hear that you can develop your game creator skills over the course of a virtual 10-week journey at Xbox Game Studios Game Camp Sweden 2023, regardless of educational background or expertise. This immersive learning experience is a hands-on game creator program open to those passionate about video games with a variety of skill levels, including aspiring developers, engineers, artists, musicians, project managers and many other disciplines.
Who Can Sign Up?
Xbox Game Studios Game Camp Sweden 2023 is free and open to anyone 18 or older residing in the country of Sweden, with a passion for creating. Teams can be any size, including one person! Teams will need a mix of skills and talents to successfully complete the project. There are plenty of different skillsets needed to produce a game, including (but not limited to): Animation, Art and 3D Modeling, Audio/Music, Design, Marketing, Programming, Project Management, Storytelling, Theater/Film, Test/Quality Assurance, and User Research.
You can apply to the camp as a team or as an individual. Each team should have each member apply individually and indicate the name of your team in the designated section of the application.
Game Camp is Virtual
All development work, workshops, and presentations during XGS Game Camp Sweden 2023 will be offered online (virtual). We will host two large events during the camp. These events will also be held online.
As part of this game creator program, you will collaborate with other participants and attend workshops facilitated by Xbox Game Studios together with Mojang Studios, MachineGames, and Simplygon.
Important Dates
Registration/application period: January 9 - February 17, 2023
Kick-off: April 3, 2023
Closing Ceremonies: June 22, 2023
We close applications on February 17 at the end of the day and will notify you via email on March 13 if you have been accepted into the program. If accepted, you will receive a detailed game camp information kit so that when the kick-off happens on April 3, you will be in great shape to start your game project.
