Dmitry has been working at Microsoft for 13 years, out of which 10 years in Technical Evangelism. He has been responsible for many Student Activities in Russia, including Imagine Cup (which resulted in 2 worldwide winners in 2014 and 2015), twice appeared on stage with Steve Ballmer, and created popular online courses on C# and F#. He has personally coached more than 20 student hackathons throughout Russia, and has been a mentor to a number of student startups.

For a few years he has been working as Senior Software Engineer specializing in AI/ML, and did a number of projects with customers on complex event detection in videos, as well as object detection using 3D models for neural network training. He loves functional programming and F#, and is the primary developer of mPyPl Python library, which makes Python development less painful by introducing functional data pipelines.

In his spare time, he teaches courses on Functional Programming and AI in Moscow Institute for Physics and Technology, Higher School of Economics and Moscow Aviation Institute, and tries to get his 15-years-old daughter interested in programming and science art. He has Ph.D. in Computer Science on Distributed Knowledge Representation. He also performs Gun Fu Cha tea ceremonies, and loves technological magic.
